Law Students Taken Through Bail Processes, Criminal Procedure in The High Court

A team of 20 third year Law Students from Makerere University on Thursday February 29, 2024 visited the Criminal Division of the High Court to have a firsthand experience of the different aspects in criminal trials.
The students who were executing an assignment about bail and the criminal procedure at the High Court were received by Registrar and Private Legal Secretary to the Chief Justice, HW Ayebare Tumwebaze and HW Festo Nsenga, Deputy Registrar Criminal Division.
HW Ayebare took them through the cycle of a bail application, from the time of applying for it, to fixing and hearing of the applicant's case.
HW Nsenga, on the other hand, explained to them the criminal procedure at the High Court.
Mr Kayemba Edward, a Clerk at the Division also demonstrated the practical aspects on physical case files in the Registry.
